Tours Available at Disneyland

At this time there are four tours available at Disneyland year round and two special holiday tours. I’ve never been on any of them and truly look forward to when I do. Still, I suggest anyone who can afford the tour do one if they can. It will add to the fun and everyone I’ve ever talked to that has gone on any of the tours has loved them.

I am most interested in the A Walk in Walt’s Footsteps and Cultivating the Magic tours! I am planning on going on them sometime in the next year.

Here is a list of all the tours they have at Disneyland (there are no tours for DCA except for fourth grade California History classes).

You can also get a VIP Tour Guide that will show you around for a select amount of time. They will customize the tour to your ride interests and get you on a selected number of rides of your choice without a wait while telling you the history and interesting facts of the park.

A Walk in Walt’s Footsteps

This tour gives you a historical look at the life and achievements of Walt Disney. You will learn about his vision, challenges and the hard work that went into creating Walt’s original Magic Kingdom. The tour starts at 9:30 am every day. It is approximately 3 hours long. The price is $64 per person and discounts are available.

The tour includes a peek into the lobby of Club 33, the exclusive members only club of Disneyland, a private lunch on Main Street U.S.A., two classic attraction experiences and a collectable pin. (In the past it use to include a peek into Walt’s privet apartment above the Main Street Firehouse.)

Welcome to the Disneyland Resort

This Guided tour is a great start to a visit to the Disneyland Resort. Learn fun tips and facts about the parks so you can make the most of your time at the parks. The tour starts at 10:30 am and is available Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday and is approximately 2.5 hours long. The price is $25 per person and discounts are available.

The tour includes attraction experiences, a personalized itinerary with dining reservations, priority viewing for a popular show and selected Disney’s Fastpass tickets for use that day.

Discover the Magic

Go on an adventure through the Disneyland Park using sleuthing skills to solve puzzles and hunt for hidden treasures. This fun-filled, high energy tour is perfect for your entire group.

During your tour experience popular attractions, receive a refreshing treat and an exclusive collectable gift. The tour starts at 10 am and is available Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It is approximately 2.5 hours long. The tour price is $59 for the first two tickets and $49 for each additional ticket and discounts are available.

Cultivating the Magic

Take a look at the story of Disneyland as told by the plants. Learn about the landscapes and gardens that have transformed 260 acres of orange groves into Walt Disney’s Original Magic Kingdom. Find out about the intricate theming and planning that went into creating the stories that are told in each land through horticulture. The tour starts at 9 am and is available Saturday and Sundays. It is approximately 2 hours long. The tour price is $49 per person.

This tour includes selected unique attraction experiences plus a collectable souvenir pin and exclusive seed packet.

Holiday Tours

There are two holiday themed tours at Disneyland.

Disney’s Happiest Haunts Tour

During the months of September and October go looking for the happy haunts throughout Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Join a “spirited” Tour Guide at sunset for an eerie evening of spooky storytelling and playful adventures. At this time the price is not available.

“Holiday Time at Disneyland” Tour

Take a holiday tour of Disneyland during the most magical time of year. Examine the magical yuletide makeover of the park close up  and learn about holiday traditions from around the world. At this time the price is not available.

A 20% discount is offered to Disney Rewards Visa, AAA card holders, Disney Vacation Club members and Disneyland Resort Annual Passport holders.

All tours require Disneyland Admission and attractions are subject to availability.
