Disney Destiny - Main Dining Rooms & Other Eats

Disney Destiny will have the same Rotational Dining Plan as all the other Disney Ships. Destiny will have 3 Main Dining Rooms. You will rotate through the restaurants. On a 4-night cruise you will go to 2 restaurants once and the 3^rd restaurant twice. On a 5-night cruise you will go to 2 restaurants twice and the 3^rd restaurant once. You will not know your rotation until you get on the ship.

 

Disney Destiny will have 2 of the same restaurants that the other Triton/Wish class ships (Wish & Treasure) have. 1923 and World of Marvel. The 3^rd restaurant is Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King.

1923: This restaurant evokes the glitz and glamour of Hollywood in the 1920’s. It will have display cases showcasing artwork and other things from Disney, Marvel, Pixar and Lucas films. It is a walk back in time of Movie History.

World of Marvel: This restaurant takes you into the Marvel Cinemania Universe. This restaurant has a different story line than the other ships. Groot is trying to throw a birthday party for Rocket. So join the fun and see what happens!

Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King: This restaurant has Broadway style entertainment and storytelling to entertain you while you dine. You will hear the Lion King story and enjoy the music from the Lion King Movie.

Just off the Grand Hall there are 2 walk up Cafes. One is Megara, with a Greco-Disco theme. Megara from Hercules is the inspiration of this dining establishment. Merida of Brave is the inspiration for the Celtic themed location.

Edna A La Mode Sweetshop is a location to treat your Super Sweet Tooth! Edna took her sewing equipment and redesigned it to make sweets! Here you can buy candy, cookies, ice cream and gelato.

 

Coming back is Marceline Market and Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods for casual foods and buffet dining. These areas are on the Pool Deck and most items are included with your cruise fare.

For adults only Palo Steakhouse and Enchante by Chef Arnaud Lallement are returning! These are very popular getaways and do cost extra. Platinum and Pearl Castaway Club Members get one meal at Palo for free each cruise.

In July the Disney Wish will sail on her Maiden Voyage!! I'm going to be sharing information on this new and wonderful ship. In my last post about the Wish, I made a few comments about the Main Dining Restaurants. Here is some more information about each of them.

1923

 

The first restaurant is off the Grand Hall on Deck 3, Midship. It is called 1923 and is a reminiscent of the Golden Era of Hollywood. The name 1923 is in honor of the year Walt Disney and his brother Roy started the Disney Brother Studios. There will be plenty of Disney Memorabilia on display and pictures of the Classic Disney Characters all around the restaurants. From the pictures I’ve seen the restaurant will have almost a sepia tone look. There will be lots of gold and brown tones accented with whites.

 

The most unique thing about 1923 is it will be split into two dining rooms named after the two Disney Brothers that started it all, Walt, and his brother Roy. This is different than the other restaurants on the Disney Cruise Ships. This will lead to a more intimate and quieter dining experience. The food will be of California cuisine. Lots of fresh vegetables, fruit, sea food, and lean meat with lots of flavor. DCL has promised something for everybody, and they always deliver great food.

 

World of Marvel, A Marvel Cinematic Dining Adventure

 

Guests will play an interactive role in an action-packed Avengers mission that happens all around them. World of Marvel ups the ante on the traditional “dinner and a show” concept. The restaurant is outfitted with state-of-the-art Pym Tech and decked out in signature Stark-itecture style. Check everything out for hidden easter eggs!

 

The menu will be a mix of food from real and fictional settings of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  There will be inspired by the African Wakanda, Eastern European Sokovia and the Avengers home base of New York City.

 

Worlds of Marvel will feature an original storyline starring fan-favorite Avengers and an infamous foe with the debut of “Avengers Quantum Encounter”.

 

 

Arendelle, A Frozen Dining Adventure

 

The final of the three Main Dining Restaurants Arendelle, A Frozen Dining Adventure  is located on Deck 5 Aft.

 

Oaken will host a celebration for Queen Anna and Kristoff! It is time to celebrate their engagement!!! Oaken will stop by each table and check on all the guests and interact with everyone.

 

This is a theater in the round experience, and you enjoy the show while eating dinner. Queen Anna and Kristoff are celebrating their engagement! Elsa will be there to sing. Olaf will interact with the party guests in new and exciting ways with some new VIP transportation from table to table.

 

The menu will be mix of Nordic ingredients and flavors with plenty of options for the less adventurous.

Unlike the restaurants of the Dream and Fantasy, the Wish seems to have 2 playful restaurants with shows to enjoy while you dine.  This is a refreshing change and going back to what the Magic and Wonder have as far and entertaining restaurants. I will miss Animator's Palate, an amazing restaurant on all the other ships of the fleet but I think DCL has an amazing lineup of restaurants for the Wish!
