At the
D23 Expo there was a presentation by Joe Lanzisero and Mark Schirmer about the
Hong Kong Disneyland version of the Haunted Mansion, Mystic Manor.
They
talked about how they and their teams conceived, developed and executed Mystic
Manor. They had props and markets from the attraction. They show up on the
video CAD to show concept art and pictures from the ride. They presented an
overview of the ride from start to finish.
One of
the most interesting differences from the Haunted Mansions in other Disney
Parks is how the Doom Buggies travel through the ride. At some points you are
in groups of 8, 4 or 2 then you find yourself alone!
The developed
of the expansion to Hong Kong Disneyland that Mystic Manor is one of the center
points in was discussed.
