It Be Talk Like A Pirate Day!!

Today is talk like a pirate day but did you know that one day of almost every Disney Cruise is Pirate Day?? One day of the cruise the Pirates take over the ship and have a party!

So what is Pirate “Night” and the “Pirate Deck Party” on the Disney Cruise? Well in the past on the Magic and Wonder there was a day where the kids played pirate games in the Kids Clubs and there were other Pirate type things going on even for the adults. Even diner was taken over by the pirates and there were dishes with pirate themed names and a Caribbean feel. Even the serving staff got into the fun dressing up as pirates!

After diner instead of a show in the theater there is a party on the deck! The Pirates take over the evening entertainment and the fun begins! The party “ends” with fireworks at sea! Disney is the only cruise line that does fireworks at sea! Many guests dress up for the party in their finest Pirate garb. Some come as swabs some as captains!

From what recent cruisers have told me (I sailed last in 2011) they still do the party but have stopped the Pirate Themed diner. If this is the case I’m sad because my favorite meal was the pirate diner.
