Celebrating Specials Days On The Disney Cruise Line
Celebrating Special Days On the Disney Cruise Line
A Disney Cruise is a great way to celebrate a special event in your life. From a child's birthday to a special anniversary the crew of the Disney ships is there to help make your celebration special.
If you will be celebrating a special event while on the cruise make sure you tell the Disney Cruise Line (or make sure your travel agent knows you want them to let Disney know) before you board. You can ask for a certain night of the cruise for the celebration or let Disney surprise you.
Don't worry if the "Special Day" is not during your cruise dates. As long as you have chosen to celebrate the birthday or anniversary during that cruise you can. Our anniversary is in January. My birthday and my friend's birthday are in February. My friend's husband has his birthday at the end of March. We went on our cruise in early March and celebrated all 4 special days together. It made four of the evening meals even more special by having something different to "celebrate".
We chose to celebrate our friend's husband's birthday on Pirate night because his favorite ride at Disneyland is Pirates of the Caribbean. We also made special magnet pictures to put on our cabin doors to let people know we were celebrating a special event.
If you have a large group or family they will bring out a cake. If it is just a couple they will bring a special treat for the birthday person one item for the couple to share. The serving staff will sing to you and fuss over you the entire evening. They also give you "We're Celebrating" or "Happy Birthday" buttons.
Before you leave for your cruise you can preorder things to be delivered to your cabin. When you get to your cabin you can find your cabin decorated for your special event. It may be Bon Voyage for a general celebration or more specific such as Happy Birthday or Happy Anniversary. They even have a Just Married Honeymoon package. Each kit has magnets for the door, banner for the room and other room decorations. In fact if you have family or friends going on a Disney Cruise to celebrate and you are not going with them you can special order these items as a surprise for them.
They also have other special items you can preorder before the ship sails. You can order a Happy Birthday, Happy Anniversary or Honeymoon memory package. It comes with a box to keep mementoes in as well as a picture frame and other items that change from time to time.
