You are on a Disney Cruise, dinner is done, a fantastic meal and on one of the three main restaurants with fun and good food combined. If you have early seating for dinner its about 7 pm and the evening is still ahead of you. What do you do??
You have many choices for fun. First off you can go to the live stage play or movie playing in the main theater that night. The live plays are Broadway style plays with full sets and fantastic actors. You can stop in at one of the many lounges for some fun. You might find family karaoke night or a family disco dance party depending on what lounge you head too. You will also find stage shows in the lounges. You may find a family friendly comedy show or a maybe a puppet show. You can also take a dip in the family pool and watch a movie on the FunnelVision screen.
Ok ok I know you want something to do AFTER hours. You know it’s now 9pm and you are not tired. You drop the kids off at the kids clubs, or you did not bring them with you then what? Well after 9pm the lounges turn into adult only zones. The music becomes more adult themed and the comics and other performers change their shows to suit an adult only audience. The shows are not nasty or rude just more adult in content.
Other options are a nighttime swim in one of the pools, FunnelVision plays movies late into the night and as the night gets later the movies change to suit an older audience. So the adults can hang out in the Family Pool and watch a movie or go to the Adult pool, Quiet Cove and have a quiet swim or soak in the hot tub.
During a seven night cruise there is a midnight chocolate buffet. There is always food around at various locations through the ship. If you are hungry and want to relax in your room there is always room service.
On one evening of the cruise there is a fun time for the entire family that last well into the night, The Pirates IN the Caribbean Deck Party. This starts out with the pirate crew playing some games and then the party kicks into dancing. Many of the Disney Characters come out to dance with the guests. Soon things change and the party is joined by the likes of Captain Hook. After that Mickey comes to save the day and sets off a firework show off the ship. After the party snacks are served and people hang around on the deck watching a movie on the FunnelVision.
So hang out late and have some fun and enjoy yourself as you sail the seas with Mickey and Friends.
We set sail Nov 27th. We can't wait to check out the Dream! Looking forward to doing some of the things we didn't do on the Wonder! Best part is, we are doing this cruise all on DVC points :-))
