Disney Wish Kids Clubs

 Disney Wish Kids Clubs

People often ask will there be enough for my kids to do on the Disney Cruise, will they be board? Hey, I WISH I was a kid and could play in the new Disney Wish’s play areas! Maybe I can sneak in because I’m child size. HA HA HA

Kids Clubs have very basic rules. To be in the Oceaneer Club kids must be at least 3 years old and potty trained and no older than 12. No additional fee! Under 3 will have to go to the Small World Nursery. Small World Nursery has a nominal fee per hour, and you will need to make reservations. The 13-17 year olds have their own clubs, Edge and Vibe! No additional fee! Don’t worry even the 18-20 year olds can find some fun with the 1820 gatherings. No Additional fee! Oh yes!! Almost forgot the last and most important rule!! No adults hanging out in the kids clubs! Other than the trained Kids Club staff no adults are allowed in, except during open hours.

Disney Wish has moved the Kids Club from the traditional Deck 5 to Deck 2. That is the first of many changes. There is an amazing special entrance for the Kids Club on deck 3 on the Port Side of the Grand Hall. This “hidden hole” leads to a slide the kids can use to get to the Kids Club the deck below!

The Disney Wish Oceaneer Club for the 3-12 year olds in your cruise party will have plenty of fun to keep them busy! Disney Cruise Line announced that the Kids Club will have the:

·        Marvel Super Hero Academy:

o   Young recruits will join a hands-on training session with Ant-Man and The Wasp, who will teach them how to create and test their very own Pym Particles, the technology that allows the heroes to shrinking and grow objects (and themselves).

·        Fairytale Hall:

o   When the hub of Disney’s Oceaneer Club transforms into the Snuggly Duckling tavern from Walt Disney Animations’ “Tangled,” kids will hve the best day ever with Rapunzel and Flynn Rider as they embark on a scavenger hunt to recover the missing pieces of the Snuggly Duckling sign. Also join Rapunzel for art lessons!

o   In Belle’s Library, children will use their imaginations to create the most daring, hilarious, fantastical,  new story for their favorite booklover. Belle will lend her wits and her magic mirror to help determine the characters, plot and conclusion of the brand-new tale.

o   At Anna and Elsa’s Sommerhus, the newest citizens of Arendelle will join a special celebration of Queen Anna’s recent coronation by acting out the history of how she became queen – taking on the roles and iconic movie moments of characters like Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, Hans and more – before the queen, her sister and their snowman friend show up to join the fun.

·        Walt Disney Imagineering Lab:

o   This is a unique opportunity for kids to discover the secrets of world-renowned Disney Imagineers.

·        Star Wars Cargo Bay:

o   The peculiar creatures and legendary characters of the Star Wars galaxy will take center stage at Star Wars: Cargo Bay. This first-of-its-kind immersive experience will place kids in the important role of creature handlers as they learn to manage a mischievous menagerie of exotic beigns from across the galaxy, including porg, Loth-cat, worrt and more.

o   During the interactive “Star Wars: Creature Challenge” experience, the newly minted caretakers will be put to the test as they help feed the lifelike creatures and encounter some of the most dangerous beings in the galaxy. When things go awry, they’ll need to call on the expertise of Rey and Chewbacca – and even channel the Force – to secure the ship from destruction.

·        Mickey and Minnie Captain’s Deck:

o   When little cadets enter the space, they’ll set sail on a fun-filled adventure and enjoy quality playtime with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse themselves. At select times throughout the voyage, the space will be open to little ones’ families for group play, and the toddlers from It’s a Small World Nursery will also get dedicated access to the club explore, learn and play with Mickey and Minnie.

o   The signature experience will be “Minnie’s Captain Academy,” a high-energy training session for kids to exercise their bodies (through playful games, dancing and maritime “drills”) and their minds, testing their imagination and ingenuity during a series of  challenges tied to STEAM principles (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) Captain Minnie will inspect the progress and officially declare them honorary captains.

·        Small World Nursery:

    • Small World Nursery is a nursery for those 3 and under that are not potty trained. There is a fee for this service.

o ·        Edge and Vibe are back for the 11-17 tweens and teens. Thise clubs are on Deck 5.

·        The Hidaway is a new area exclusively for the use of the 13-17 year olds and at select times may be reserved for the 18-20 year olds to “hangout”
