Romance is in the Air

Romance is in the Air!

Something Disney it’s just for children, but it’s not! The day at a Disney park can be incredibly romantic. From quiet strolls down Main Street under the shining nighttime lights in the evening to exciting thrill rides giving you a excuse to cuddle, the entire day can be romantic.
It is all in how you look at it. If you are older you can choose to take a moment to relive youthful pleasures. You can remember playful times. Or you can explore the adult side of Disney.
My husband and I often do dates at Disneyland. There we can just take the time to chat as we wait in line or for a show. We can put aside the day’s stresses and just enjoyed being together. When the phone rings saying your “at Disneyland” gives you the perfect excuse to get off the phone and be with your love!
If you are into adult drinks and pleasures you can find at the Disney hotels and some of the same parks such as Disney California Adventure. It is not hard to find a romantic restaurant to share a special meal.
It is not only the Disney parks that are romantic. The Disney Cruise Line has many quiet places for couples to sit and enjoy each other, such as the Quiet Cove pool or the adult only lounges or restaurants. They also have special events such as wine and ale tasting just for the adults. Just a stroll around the deck day or night is romantic. As an added bonus, if you have children DCL will take care of them will you spend time together. For those over three years old it is no extra charge. Perfect romantic getaway for the family the kids get to have fun and mom and dad get romantic time together!

Now here is a romantic Disney fun fact. Mickey and Minnie Mouse were really married! Well, at least the voice actors were. Wayne Allwine, the third voice of Mickey Mouse was working on the set when Russi Taylor came in to do the voice of Minnie Mouse. They fell in love while working together. Together they voiced the iconic couple for over 20 years until Wayne Allwine died in 2009. Russi Taylor is still doing the voice of Minnie Mouse. You can hear their voices in many classic Disney cartoons such as “Mickey’s Christmas Carol”. You can also hear their voices at Disney parks and other locations.
