Did You Know there is a Facebook Group for Your Disney Cruise
Are you sailing on a Disney Cruise? Want to make friends before you go? We’ve made lifelong friends on Disney Cruises! New to Disney Cruising and want a place to get advice? Thinking it might be fun to make some friends for your child before going, maybe get a pen pal before cruise that they can meet and play with on the ship? Heard about Fish Extenders and want to join the fun? Well, you need to find your specific Disney Cruise Facebook Group!
Some of the reasons why you should join a Facebook Group for
your cruise have been mentioned. Now to HOW to find and join your group! Let’s
say you are sailing April 1st, 2024, on the Disney Fantasy. You will
type in “Disney Fantasy April 1, 2024.” That should bring up any pages for your
cruise! Then you join the group! Many groups ask you to answer 3 questions. Are
you cruising on the cruise? How many times have you sailed with Disney? Will
you abide by the stated rules of the page? Answer the questions and you should
be approved.
Now that you have found and joined your group what do you
do? Well, pull up a lounge chair by the ships pool and join the group! The more
questions you ask and answer the more you will get out of the group!
Learn about Fish Extenders and join the fun, Cruising Ducks,
what things are there to do on and off the ship for people in your travel
party. Have a special need? Traveling with someone with a disability and need
to know what is available? ASK!! Wondering about leaving the kids at the Kids
Club? Is there enough for them to do? Is it safe? (Ya I’m a mom.) ASK.
Traveling Solo and looking to meet other solo travelers? Ask if there are
others traveling Solo! Whatever the question you have, ASK and somebody may
have the answer or know where to find it.
Many people who run the Cruising Pages are avid Disney
Cruisers and are very experienced. They will make sure the information you need
gets passed on. They will remind the group of important dates, such as the Pay
in Full date, Booking Window Openings for various Castaway Club levels and
Online Check-In. If Disney announces a change in policy or a change to your
specific cruise, they will usually announce it in the group, so you are more
likely to see it. No chance of missing something sent out by Disney! The group will
usually help each other understand changes as well.
I’ll not go into what Fish Extenders and Cruising Ducks are here
in this post. I will do other posts so check back in the next few days to see
them!
