Disney Cruise Line suggested gratuities if you are in a standard cabin are $14.50 per person per day in each cabin. This money is given to the following 4 people, Stateroom Host/Hostess, Dining Room Server, Dining Room Assistant Server, Dining Room Head Server. Gratuities are paid at the end of the cruise, and you may add to them if you feel the service warrants.

 

You can make things easier by prepaying your gratuities, so you don’t have to worry about the basic amount while on the trip. You can add to them at the end. This makes budgeting for the trip easier.

The funds are split this way per day:

Stateroom Host/Hostess                 $4.75

Dining Room Server                       $4.75

Dining Room Assistant Server    $3.50

Dining Room Head Server            $1.50

Total Suggested Gratuities per person/per day - $14.50

 

As you can see this is not that much considering the service you receive. You will tip the same for infants. Consider the Stateroom Attendant will be setting up and taking down that pack n play along with taking out dirty diapers and other things that babies mess up several times per day. The dining staff can help by bringing special pureed foods and other things for the young one. The crew also must be ready to help in an emergency with caring for that little one. They are responsible for the health and safety of each and every guest, no matter the age.

 

If you have 2 people in the cabin the total suggested gratuities per day are $29 total for both guests.

 

For a 3-Night cruise the total gratuities for 2 guests would be $87. $43.50 per person.

For a 4-Night cruise the total gratuities for 2 guests would be $116. $58 per person.

For a 5-Night cruise the total gratuities for 2 guests would be $145. $72.50 per person.

For a 7-Night cruise the total gratuities for 2 guests would be $203. $101.50 per person.

 

If you are booked in a concierge cabin it is suggested you give $15.50 per person for gratuities. That is $0.25 per person more that you are tipping per day than the standard cabin. They also suggest tipping the Concierge Lounge staff $8 per person per night.

 

Besides the Suggested Gratuities there are other gratuities. There is an 18% gratuity on drinks ordered, spa services, and amenities delivered to your cabin. You may also wish to tip for some other services, such as nursery care.
