Planning Your Disney Cruise

Planning Your Disney Cruise

Ok you are booked!! You know the final date you can Pay In Full (PIF) and are working towards it! So now what?? Nothing else to do, right? WRONG!!!

Even now you can start looking at the ports we will be stopping at. Go to the Disney Cruise Website and start looking. What are the Port Adventures offered? Do any of them look good? Make a list and break it down into Must Do and If We Could. Check out what type of things are available to do on board. Tastings, Spa, Palo, Kids Clubs, Quiet Cove and Family Pools, Evening Shows, Pirate Night (Don’t forget the Pirate Gear!), and the Main Dining Restaurants! Again for the Onboard Adventures such as Spa and Tastings make a list of what you Must and Would Like to Do.

Are you going to go Vacation Casual, Dress Up or Bound? Any option is ok, just remember Main Dining Restaurants do not allow Flip Flops or swim attire. Shorts and Jeans with no holes, shorts and t shirts are ok. Palo has a different dress code. If Dressing Up or Down don’t worry!! Nobody judges!! People dressed up see the families in matching t shirts and enjoy them! People in the t shirts see those dressed up and enjoy it! Does not matter!!

Look at the Main Dining Restaurants for the ship. Do they have shows or not? Do you want to dress up to the theme of the restaurant or go Cruise Casual? Will you chose to dress to the theme of the show you will see that night? Either way is great!

Check out a Facebook group for your specific cruise. Just type in the Facebook search bar Name of ship, Cruise Start Date, Example is "Disney Wonder November 29, 2027". This will take you to your cruise group. There you can ask questions, find answers, join Fish Extender Group (gift exchange), and make friends and have general fun! Will you join a Fish Extender Group? You do not have to join ANY FE Groups! You may want to join several. That takes planning!! If you join what type of Exchange to you want to join? Adult, Family, Ornament, Magnet or Recipe? What will you bring? Handmade or store purchased? Disney themed or not? Practical like a First Aid Kit or something fun?

Find out the fun things to do that are free, Arts & Crafts, Cooking Demos, Jack Jack Diaper Dash, Towelgomie, Sports Deck, Music, Karaoke, Trivia, Family game show fun, Bingo and the Deck 4 Promenade Walking/Jogging Track. That is just scratching the surface of what there is daytime wise! Nighttime there are the shows, Pirate Night, After 9 pm adult entertainment in the lounges with things like Match your Mate, Keroke, Trivia, Silent DJ, Dancing, Music, Magic, Comics and more!

Most importantly just get ready for FUN!! We find planning is half the fun!!
