Mickey and the Magical Map
At the beginning of
the summer Disneyland put in a new show, Mickey and the Magical Map. I kept
trying to get over to the Fantasyland Theater to see the new show but for some
reason plans always fell through, until last week! So I’ll share about this
show now.
Mickey and the
Magical Map is a takeoff of the Scorer’s Apprentice. Yensid has a Magical Map
he is training apprentices to work paint. Mickey is one of the newer
apprentices. Mickey decides to try to show his master he knows what to do. In
the process he has a magical musical adventure.
As Mickey travels
around the map, you go along visiting different characters for many of the
newer classic movies. It seems to skip over the older classics of Snow White
and Cinderella but has Pocahontas, Mulan and Tiana along with many of the newer
Disney movie characters. Mickey learns his lesson and Yensid is happy he
learns.
All in all this is
a wonderful show with lots of heart. I highly suggest taking the time out to
see this wonderful show. The kids will enjoy seeing some of their favorite
characters sing and dance. Adults will enjoy the music and special effects as
well. There is something for everybody in Mickey and the Magical Map.
Here is my video
of the show:
My
Christmas book, “An Angel Remembers 25 Voices of Christmas” is available!!
This is a collection of 26 short Christmas stories that
together bring the amazing events of Christ’s birth alive. It is my hope that
this will help encourage families to spend 10-15 minutes a day together during
the busy holiday season remembering the true reason for the season.
