Disney Wish is Coming!!!

 Disney Wish is Coming!!!

June 20th the newest ship of the Disney Cruise Line Fleet will arrive at Port Canaveral, Florida!! It arrives between 4-7AM EST! (Yes, I’ll be up at 1AM to watch it sail into port!) June 29th there will be a christening ceremony along with other celebrations. From June 29th to July 14th the Wish will be busy taking on its crew and the supplies for its Maiden Voyage!! July 14th the Wish will start her maiden voyage! Disney has NOT announced if they will be live streaming any of these events, but you can still watch them! All you need to do is go to PortCanaveralWebcam.com and Fish Lips Bar and Grill will have their camera turned on it! They always do!!!

The Disney Wish is going to be something special! I’m really excited and hope to sail on her in the next couple of years. What is so special about her?? She is just slightly larger than the Disney Dream Class ships (Dream/Fantasy). She carries the same number of guests and crew as the Dream Class ships. So they are not using that little extra space to cram in a few more paying customers!! From what I can see it is being used for backstage/behind the scenes work areas and more entertainment space! In other words, it is where they will be hiding the Pixie Dust!!!

The Wish does not have a lobby, it has a Grand Hall! The area that normally would be called the Atrium Lobby on the other ships is designed to look like the Grand Hall of a Disney Princess Castle. You will see elements from all your favorite Disney Princess around the Grand Hall. Cinderella graces the podium as the Statue. The chandelier reminds you of Cinderella’s dress being redone by the Fairy Godmother.

he Wish has 3 completely NEW main dining experiences!! 1923 Arendelle, a Frozen Dinning Adventure, and the Worlds of Marvel, a Cinematic Dining Experience! Each has something special to see or do. All the restaurants add good food with great entertainment!

1923 is off the Grand Hall. It is reminiscent of the glitz and glam of Hollywood of the 1920’s. There will be plenty of Disney Memorabilia on display honoring the early days of the studio. Just sit and enjoy the great food and glory in the golden days of Hollywood!

Arendelle a Frozen Dinning Adventure will take you to Arendelle where you will enjoy Oaken putting on a celebration in honor of Anna and Kristoff’s engagement! Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff will come and entertain you as you enjoy your meal.

Worlds of Marvel, a Cinematic Dining Experience will take you into the Marvel Cinematic Universe! As you dine Marvel characters will be going through the restaurant and take you on an adventure with them.

There is MUCH more to share about the Disney Wish and I will be posting more as the time comes for the ship to join the Disney Cruise Line Fleet!

Disney Sail Away

Disney Sail Away

Ever wondered what happens when a Disney Ship after the safety drill is done and it leaves port? I’ll tell you, it is PARTY TIME!

When the ship pulls out from the dock the pool deck or the deck above at the family pool is the place to be! The pool will be closed and covered to supply a dance floor. There you can dance with your family as you have your first sips of a relaxing adult drink or whatever your choice is. You may get to see yourself on the jumbo screen where they show live feed of the stage area and people dancing and having fun.

You might think, well I’ve traveled a long distance to get to the ship and I don’t want to be in the middle of a loud party! You might think your time could be better spent unpacking. You could have early seating for dinner and want to get ready for your first taste of cruise dining. I suggest you don’t miss the party!

There are several reasons not to miss the party. First the party is FUN!! It is a great way to release your inhabitations and get into the cruise party mode. Second the party is where all the major crew members you will want to know come out and introduce themselves. Third you will hear some information about activities and services available on the ship and where/who to go to get it. Forth reason is this is where you can start to get your children to connect with the cast members that will be caring for them. This may be the most important reason not to miss the party! The sooner your child connects with the crew in the children’s activity area the more comfortable they will be going.

The sail away party is where you can set the tone for your entire cruise. ENJOY it!

If you wish to see a Disney ship pull out of Port Canaveral but don’t live anywhere near there don’t worry, it is as close as your computer! Click the link below and watch the party in progress or at least a few moments of it.

I must tell you I’m hooked on watching the Disney Cruise ships pull in and out of port.
