Disney
Style Service OUTSIDE of Disney
My husband and I
decided to support Freedom of Speech and have lunch at Chick-fil-A today. Yes,
comments were made about same sex marriage by the owners of the company but
that is their right as Americans. They never used hate speech but spoke their
view. Company policy is to treat everyone equal, this includes those that are
LBGT.
Ok, now onto
Disney Service. Disney Service is shown in the attention to detail of guests
needs. Disney calls their customers Guests not Customers. When you are at
Disney you are their Guest and will be treated as such.
When we arrived at
the Northridge, California Chick-fil-A restaurant the drive up line was about ¼
mile long and had about 100 cars! With an average of 2 people per car there
were 200 people in the drive through line. There were about 200 people in the
walkup line when we joined the line. The walkup line took 1 hour to get through.
We were told it took about the same amount of time to get through the drive
through. This show of support was a pleasant surprise in liberal Southern
California. It is even more surprising since this store is within 5 miles of
the most liberal area of the San Fernando Valley that is also the Porn Film
Capital of the world. The walkup line still had around 200 people in it when we
left. The Drive through was much shorter but it was not after lunch time.
With this many
people going through the line there were no issues. People were calm and
friendly, people kept the line moving in an orderly way that did not block
traffic. The customers themselves regulated where the lines went and were
respectful of both the store and personal property of others in the parking
lot. There were no protesters to be seen the entire 1 ½ hours I was there!
Chick-fil-A
employees were there to hand out water to those in line. They set up a table
with sports water dispensers on it with paper cups. They walked up and down the
line making sure people were ok and stayed hydrated in the 90º sun. All the employees were smiling and
happy to help. Popup shades were placed around and Chick-fil-A umbrellas were
being passed around to help provide shade to those in need. This was the first
of the Disney Style service we were blessed with.
Once inside our
order was taken quickly and a clean table found. Yes, I said we found a clean
table! We sat down to wait for our food a gentleman asked if he could join us
at the table. We had been chatting with him in line so it was no problem to
share our table for four when it was just the two of us.
The manager of the
restaurant and other employees were walking around asking if anybody needed
anything, taking away trash, and cleaning tables. Trash cans were empty and the
floor was clean. Even the bathroom was clean! Every one of the employees
thanked the customers for coming. Like Disney attention to cleanliness and good
service is important to them!
This was my first
time eating at Chick-fil-A but will not be my last. I will go again and would go more often if it was more local to me. The Disney Style of service
and the positive family orientated values of the company make me wish to
support them.
YAY for you! I support them too and all our rights to freedom of speech and freedom of religion! They are in the right at the Chik fil A. I love a country where we have all those rights! God really has blessed America!
ReplyDeleteHey! I just found out that a local bakery refused to make a wedding cake for a homosexual couple! Chik fil A started a trend! En Vogue.
ReplyDeleteChick-Fil-A has stated many time they will NOT and do NOT refuse service to anybody based on sexual lifestyle, color or resigious beliefes. The owner was expressing his personal feelings on the subject of same sex marriage. The bakery refusing to make a cake is their choice but I do believe it has nothing to do with Chick-Fil-A. Also I think it is wrong.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the first reply made. God bless America! I'm glad we have Freedom of Speech. We need to make sure those rights are protected. Each generation must protect that right for the next.
While I do disagree with same sex marriage I will never agree to abusing, debasing or mistreating anybody for any reason. You can care for, love and respect a person even if you strongly disagree with their lifestyle.
