What about the last 3 of the Disney Ships being built??
When Disney announced they were building a Wish/Triton-Class ship for the Oriental Land Company to sail out of Japan they announced a 3rd new class of Disney Ships had been ordered! At this time all we know is there will be 3 more ships, past the Wish/Triton class built. They will be an entirely new class of ship that will be 20% bigger than the Classic-Class and smaller than the Dream-Class. They will carry 3,000 passengers but nothing else is known about them at this time.
These ships will come out in 2029, 2030 & 2031.
We do not know the names or exact size of the ships yet. We
do not know anything about the layout. I personally am hoping they fix the
issue of no mid-ship elevator and do better than the Triton/Wish-Class.
When these ships are done, including the Adventure the total
of Disney Ships will be 13! I’m sure there will be more to come. Sadly, there may
also be a couple of ships leaving the fleet. A cruise ships average life is 30
years. Then the ship is either sold off the a lower class of ship for
repurposing, scrapped, or sunk to help make new coral reefs. Magic and Wonder
are coming up on 30 years in service. Both are showing their age. With plumbing
issues happening more often it is possible they will be retired. Only time will
tell.
