Meet the Disney Believe, the Next Disney Cruise Line Ship

Meet the Disney Believe, the Next Disney Cruise Line Ship

By: Disney Destinations

March 18, 2026

For more than 100 years, Disney storytelling has inspired families around the world – through films, experiences, products and vacations – to believe in their dreams and pursue them boldly. Today, we are thrilled to announce the next Disney Cruise ship will be a tribute to those dreamers and doers who dare to pursue their own happily ever after.

The Disney Believe is the fourth ship in the groundbreaking Wish class, where beloved stories from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars surround families from the moment they step on board. From incredible entertainment to thoughtfully designed spaces, every detail is crafted to bring storytelling to life at sea.

But what makes the Wish class truly special is that each ship features its own unique design theme that shapes those stories, from the venues and experiences to the décor and entertainment. Like its sister ships – the enchantment-themed Disney Wish, adventure-themed Disney Treasure, and the heroes and villains-themed Disney Destiny – the Disney Believe will have its own unique motif: one of promise and possibilities.

Onboard the Disney Believe, powerful tales of characters who believe in themselves and their dreams will come to life in exciting new ways. Fom mystical worlds of Encanto and Frozen, to wishing wells of Snow White, to the depths of the sea with Moana and The Little Mermaid, there are endless stories waiting to be discovered and new chapters ready to unfold onboard.

The Disney Believe is expected to debut in late 2027, and we can’t wait to share more information with you in the coming months. But the best news of all? You don’t have to wait to experience the magic of a Disney Cruise! With a growing fleet and a wide variety of itineraries, there are countless ways to make memories right now.

Disney Adventure is on her Maiden Voyage

Disney Adventure is on her Maiden Voyage

Disney Adventure is on her Maiden Voyage. She left Singapore yesterday. Adventure will do 3-4-Night cruise at sea with no port stops.

Robert Downey, Jr is the God Parent of the Disney Adventure. Check out the video announcement!

The history of the Disney Adventure is long. She will be a one-of-a-kind ship for DCL. She is the 8th and also the largest ship in the Disney Fleet! She will carry 6,700 guests and be the destination, not ports.

 Robert Downey Jr

Adventure started out as a ship being built for the Chinese, Genting Hong Kong Dream Cruise Line. Ordered in 2016 with the keel laying on Sept 11, 2018. Her given name at that time was Global Dream. Then Covid-19 hit. Star Cruise Line was not able to survive the covid pandemic. The shipyard building her also went bankrupt. Disney Cruise Line came in in 2022 and purchased the ¾ built ship that was about to be sold for scrap. DCL paid pennies on the dollar then spent a reported 1.8 billion to purchase and reimagine her to be a Disney ship. Adventure was to be launched in December of 2025 but failed her sea trials and was not up to Disney standards. Disney changed the Maiden Voyage date to March 10th, 2026 to give time to bring her up to standards.

Adventure will be more of a floating amusement park/hotel than a cruise ship. She has the longest rollercoaster at sea along with 2 other amusement park type rides. It has 7 themed districts and even has balcony cabins facing into the courtyards.

The classic service and style of DCL will continue with Rotational Dining. Instead of 3 restaurants there are 6. There is Hollywood Spotlight Club and Navigators Club. You will go to one of these restaurants. You will also go to either Animator’s Palate or Animator’s Table. Enchanted Summer Restaurant inspired by Tangled and Frozen or Pixar Market Restaurant will be the 3rd set of restaurants you will go to. You can check the Disney Cruise website for more information on the individual restaurants.

Planning Your Disney Cruise

Planning Your Disney Cruise

Ok you are booked!! You know the final date you can Pay In Full (PIF) and are working towards it! So now what?? Nothing else to do, right? WRONG!!!

Even now you can start looking at the ports we will be stopping at. Go to the Disney Cruise Website and start looking. What are the Port Adventures offered? Do any of them look good? Make a list and break it down into Must Do and If We Could. Check out what type of things are available to do on board. Tastings, Spa, Palo, Kids Clubs, Quiet Cove and Family Pools, Evening Shows, Pirate Night (Don’t forget the Pirate Gear!), and the Main Dining Restaurants! Again for the Onboard Adventures such as Spa and Tastings make a list of what you Must and Would Like to Do.

Are you going to go Vacation Casual, Dress Up or Bound? Any option is ok, just remember Main Dining Restaurants do not allow Flip Flops or swim attire. Shorts and Jeans with no holes, shorts and t shirts are ok. Palo has a different dress code. If Dressing Up or Down don’t worry!! Nobody judges!! People dressed up see the families in matching t shirts and enjoy them! People in the t shirts see those dressed up and enjoy it! Does not matter!!

Look at the Main Dining Restaurants for the ship. Do they have shows or not? Do you want to dress up to the theme of the restaurant or go Cruise Casual? Will you chose to dress to the theme of the show you will see that night? Either way is great!

Check out a Facebook group for your specific cruise. Just type in the Facebook search bar Name of ship, Cruise Start Date, Example is "Disney Wonder November 29, 2027". This will take you to your cruise group. There you can ask questions, find answers, join Fish Extender Group (gift exchange), and make friends and have general fun! Will you join a Fish Extender Group? You do not have to join ANY FE Groups! You may want to join several. That takes planning!! If you join what type of Exchange to you want to join? Adult, Family, Ornament, Magnet or Recipe? What will you bring? Handmade or store purchased? Disney themed or not? Practical like a First Aid Kit or something fun?

Find out the fun things to do that are free, Arts & Crafts, Cooking Demos, Jack Jack Diaper Dash, Towelgomie, Sports Deck, Music, Karaoke, Trivia, Family game show fun, Bingo and the Deck 4 Promenade Walking/Jogging Track. That is just scratching the surface of what there is daytime wise! Nighttime there are the shows, Pirate Night, After 9 pm adult entertainment in the lounges with things like Match your Mate, Keroke, Trivia, Silent DJ, Dancing, Music, Magic, Comics and more!

Most importantly just get ready for FUN!! We find planning is half the fun!!

Vape Pens and E-Cigarettes are now on the prohibited list for bring ashore in Mexico. If you are found with even one of these devices, you may be find up to $12.500 or up to 8 years in a Mexican prison. It does not matter if is a nicotine, non-nicotine, medical or non-medical cannabis or other narcotics. The devices and refills are forbidden. You may not bring one for personal use, even for non-narcotic usage.

Please be aware and be careful when going ashore in a foreign country that you are required to know and follow their laws. Ignorance of the law does not get you a free pass. It is NOT worth the risk!! It does not matter if you drive, walk, fly or cruise into Mexico this law applies to every form of transportation.
