The One of a Kind Disney Adventure Cruise Ship!

The One of a Kind Disney Adventure Cruise Ship!

Disney Adventure is going to be a unique ship. The most unique thing for Disney is, this ship was not commissioned and purpose built for Disney!

The Chinese Star Cruise Line ordered a ship just before the Covid-19 pandemic. It was about a third finished when Covid hit the world and travel came to an end. Star Cruise Line did not survive the pandemic and neither did the shipyard building the Star Global Dream. The ship sat in the shipyard unfinished and decaying. Disney Cruise Line purchased the Star Global Dream and offered to help Meyer Werft (the shipyard that builds Disney Ships and others) take over the shipyard so they could finish and reimagine the ship for Disney.

December 2025 the Disney Adventure will sail her Maiden Voyage out of Singapore! She will do 3-5-Night cruises at sea. No ports stopped at, all sea days. Don’t worry there is plenty to do on this ship to spend 5+ days exploring it! Disney signed a contract to sail from Singapore for 5 years. After that, it has not been announced if she will stay there or go someplace else.

Disney Adventure Stats:

Tonnage: 208,000 GT

Length: 1,122 ft 1 inch

Beam: 152 ft 3 in

Height: 231 ft 2 in

Draft: 31 ft 2 in

Passenger Capacity: 6,700

Disney Adventure is the single member of the Disney Global-Class of ships. She will have 7 themed Districts where you can see different things. There is a Marvel area that has several Marvel themed Disney Park style rides, including the longest coaster at sea!

Besides the Walt Disney Theater there are other stages onboard the ship with shows day and night. At the Walt Disney Theater you can see “Remember” themed on the movie Wall-E and Seas the Adventure. There will be the Imagination Garden with a Garden Stage featuring several Disney and Marvel shows.

The Main Dining Restaurants sound amazing!! There are 6 Main Restaurants, two sets of 3 Restaurants for you to Rotate through. Yes, Rotational Dining is still part of the DCL experience on the Adventure!!

There are more specialty dining experiences on the Disney Adventure. The other ships have Palo and one other Adult Only location. The adventure has several and even some for families!
