Disneyland Soon To Be
Haunted for Halloween
During Halloween Season Disneyland does decorate the park for Halloween. Changes are made to some rides and special events planned.
For the "general public" they have Haunted Manson being
taken over by Jack Skellington and friends from Nightmare Before Christmas
(HM-NBC) and Space Mountain becomes Ghost Galaxy. They have special "Party
Nights" called Mickey's Halloween Party (MHP). There are special fireworks
on MHP nights and they give out candy. MHP is a pay event so you have to
purchase a ticket.
Here is some information from the Disneyland website about the
party.

You are invited to Mickey's Halloween Party! Dress up your little
ones, don a costume of your own and Trick-or-Treat at the ultimate

vehicles may require an additional fee.
They clear the park of all the regular guests and allow the MHP
goers to hit HM-NBC and SM-GG and other rides with reduced crowds. They also
hand out candy and have other special tables with things to do for the party
goers. I believe they have tables where you can make your own Halloween themed
cookie.
I always go on HM-NBC and SM-GG every year during regular hours. I've
always wanted to do HM-NBC every day before Christmas. Not sure if it is from
Halloween or from Dec 1, but the display behind where you load into the doom
buggies is an Advent calendar and something new pops up and is added to the
display.

about the party including dates and prices.
They end the night with the Halloween Screams Fireworks. Instead
of Tink and Dumbo flying around Zero from NBC comes out to fly. This is a
totally awesome fireworks display!
Here is a link to my video of the 2009 Halloween Screams Fireworks
on youtube. These were the last ones they allowed the general public to go to.
We have never paid the extra to go to MHP.
